Have you "left your net" to follow the Messiah?

The first disciples left everything to follow the Lord. What about us? 

Yeshua’s first words to His first two disciples was, “Follow me and I will make you fishers of men.”

They IMMEDIATELY LEFT THEIR NETS and followed Him.

We have all been called. But have we left our nets to follow Him?

The first disciples were fishermen. They made their living by catching fish. They spent their time casting their nets, repairing their nets, sorting their catch, storing their catch, bringing their catch to the market. It was full time job

However after Yeshua called them, they left their nets indeed they left everything. Have we done the same?

I may be stepping on toes but I believe we need to ask ourselves the question, “Have we left our nets to follow Yeshua.”

Is your full time job following the Messiah by doing what He says or is it to make enough money to do what you want? 

I am NOT suggesting you quit your job. 

But what I am suggesting is for you to make sure that what you are doing is what the Lord wants you to do. 

If you are, you are blessed! 

If not you need to ask yourself:

Who is the Lord of my life? 

Me or Him?  

Reflect on the following scriptures:   

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?  (Luke 6:46)   

Jesus said, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and for the gospel, 30 who will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and in the age to come eternal life. (Mark 10:29,30)
