The Feast of Dedication – Chanukkah

26 December 2008 No Comment

We are in the midst of the Feast of Dedication.  It is the 6th night.  This is a time to reflect on how are lives meaure up to the light we have recieved from the Lord.  Where we sense we are not measuring up this is an appropriate time to dedicate ourselves to the Lord.  The original Feast of Dedication was a dedication of the temple in Jerusalem.  Today in the light of the New Covenant (Brit Hadashah) we dedicate ourselves as in this glorious covenant we ourselves are individually and corporately the temple of the living God!  The New Covenant was made with Israel and Judah and during this Feast of Lights the intensity of its meaning cannot be more fully appreciated and embraced then by those who know the Messiah!
