There are specific patterns to the way God operates. He is a God of order. A quick glance at His creation confirms this. Atomic physics, human anatomy, the solar system, photosynthesis, the intricacies of reproduction; all bear witness that God works through defined order. It is part of His signature. So it is with His plan of world redemption. He begins with Abraham. Through his descendants, the Jewish people comes the promised seed – the Messiah.  It is on Passover that he dies and on the 3rd day he is raised which is the Feast of First Fruits. His disciples are filled with the Holy Spirit on Shavuot or Pentecost exactly 50 days from the first Sabbath following Passover. They were commanded to preach the good news of the Kingdom of God in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samara and to the ends of the earth. (Acts 1:18) There is a defined pattern; a specific plan. Part of this pattern was and is “to the Jew first and then to the nations” (Romans 1:16). We must follow God’s pattern if we are to build His Kingdom. The tabernacle, where the presence of God would dwell, was built with the utmost detail.  Moses was instructed: See that you make them according to the pattern shown you on the mountain. (Exodus 25:40)
The temple in Jerusalem was built over 7 years according to an intricate pattern. The details are specifically outlined in the scriptures.

And in the eleventh year, in the month of Bul, which is the eighth month, the house was finished in all its details and according to all its plans. So he was seven years in building it. (1 Kings 6:38)

The plan of salvation also follows an intricate pattern.  The New Covenant temple is built with living stones. As we build His temple in the New Covenant we must build according to His pattern. His pattern is to the Jew first and then to the Gentile. The time has come for God’s people to follow His pattern since we are called to build His Kingdom. His pattern is for us to acquire living stones for building His temple; first Jews and then Gentiles. Churches, mission organizations, denominations, all who name the name of the Lord:  Prayerfully strategize, reorganize, mobilize and determine that your ministry will be to the Jew first, and then to the Gentile. Then and only then will your ministry be in accordance with the pattern given to us by God, the Master Builder.
