Leviticus 23:24-25   24 “Speak to the children of Israel, saying: ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a sabbath-rest, a memorial of blowing of trumpets, a holy convocation.  25 ‘You shall do no customary work on it; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to the LORD.’ ”

Rosh Hashannah (The Head of the year)  which begins at Sundown this Monday is the Jewish New Year. Biblically this Feast of the Lord is called the Feast of Trumpets. The theme and meaning of trumpets has to do with judgement and repentance.  This is the time to reflect upon your life and examine it honestly.  It is a time for personal transparency.  Whatever we see that is not right we are to turn away from.  Whatever we sense we should be doing but have neglected to do we need to make a decision …
